Maria Fernanda is an artist based in Italy who finds endless inspiration in nature and animals, the two things she loves most in the world. They are her compass, guiding her to create with respect, care and awareness.

Fashion has always been part of her life. It was her starting point, teaching her the language of detail and craftsmanship. Over time, she realised that her creativity could not be confined to a single path. Today, she creates hats, paintings, accessories and unique pieces, each born from intuition, emotion and the simple pleasure of turning the ordinary into art.

Environmental awareness is not simply part of her work, but part of the way she creates. She uses recycled fabrics and forgotten objects, often found at flea markets, giving them new form and new meaning. For her, beauty should never exist at the expense of the planet; on the contrary, it can honour it.

Fernand Lems is born from the meeting of fashion, art and sustainability. A place where respecting the Earth and celebrating beauty can coexist, and where tradition can become the ground for imagining something new.
